My Home

Do you know what it is that makes a house a home? It isn't the furniture. It isn't the decor. It isn't the kitchen. It isn't the family room. It isn't bricks and mortar. It is love. Pure and simple LOVE.

When I saw this picture, it made me think of my home. Not the structure that I live in, but the home that is created by the love radiating within its walls by the people who live there.

Our house is a train wreck aesthetically. It just is. There IS a reason you haven't been there and probably won't for a long time to come. It is a WRECK! BUT the real and most important element of a HOME is there in abundance!! Our home, with all its flaws, overflows with love. We love one another deeply. We love one another fully. There is laughter, honesty, acceptance, security, peace, and love. I would love to have a house that I am proud to showcase to my friends etc...maybe someday we will get there, but until then and even then, this home has all it ever needs to be MY home...warm, welcoming, nurturing LOVE. It is a home anchored and secured by God and His love and thus, love can't help but envelop the people within.

I love my home. Not the walls, not the decor, not the furniture...but the kind, caring, loving, enduring family who resides within. THAT'S what makes a house a home.

Thank you! Patience, sometimes, is the ONLY answer. We love you and Miss Gracyn, proud to have your spirits in our home.
