This has to be the freakiest spider that I have ever seen up close and personal. Not the scariest, just the freakiest. It was just hanging out on this flower pretty inconspicuously. I didn't even notice him until I got up close to take a pic of the plant and then I realized he was lurking back there. Look at those spikes on his legs! They are really freaky. Like a cactus or something. Has anyone ever seen one like this? Does anyone have any idea what kind of spider this is? Just curious.Click on the image to see his spikes up close. WOW!

I looked it up just now, it is a Green Lynx Spider. Evidently good to have around the garden. Hmmm.
And did you say they "jump?"

YES, they are expert jumpers. Eeeeek! I got close to something that looks like that AND jumps well. Can you say, "CRAZY"???
